«ACI The Financial Markets Association»

The «Association Cambiste Internationale» was founded in 1957 under the name of «Forex Club Luxembourg». Initially created to promote and to represent the Luxembourg Financial Community and especially the traders from the Money Market and Foreign Exchange.

Over the last few years, the Financial Markets have been through huge changes in terms of development, new products and electronic trading.The Association thought that there was a real need to expand the membership by adding other departments like Derivatives, Repo's, Structural Products, Risk Management, Back-Office, Middle-Office and Associates. Having reached a peak of 750 members some years ago. The Association today includes 500 individual members.

The Board:

Elections are held every three years with a maximum of 11 Members in the Committee, comprising a President, one General Secretary, two Vice-Presidents, a Treasurer, a Chairman of the Board of Education and a Chairman of Public and Social Events.The Board holds Committee meetings monthly, except in August.Meetings organised during the Year:

• Annual General Assembly
• Conferences
• Seminars
• Family Day
• New Year cocktail

One of our major goals is the promotion of education for our younger traders.
Our Association is not only active at a national level but also at an international level by participating in and being a member of the Committee of Professionalism and representing ACI Luxembourg twice a year at the Council Meetings.
